Hi, everybody. I (Helmut Leitner) am here because of the PLAST in CAPS project (Helene Finidori), that is currently in pre-submission stage.
I'm located in Graz, Austria.
The easiest ways to contact me:
- leitner (AT) wikiservice (DOT) at
- Skype: HelmutLeitner
My primary role in this potential project, organized as sub-partner of FKI, would be to support everyone in the PLAST project who wants support in using pattern methods: pattern mining, pattern authoring, pattern language, pattern theory, pattern analysis, pattern descriptions and pattern forms, pattern aspects, design patterns vs. perception patterns; orthodox pattern standards and going beyond them, pattern products, pattern publishing formats, ... pattern thinking in general.
I've written a book "Pattern Theory" (German: "Mustertheorie"), that gives a general introduction to pattern theory in the tradition of Christopher Alexander:
- Leitner, H. (2015). Pattern Theory: Introduction and Perspectives on the Tracks of Christopher Alexander. Graz: Helmut Leitner, printed by CreateSpace.
- Leitner, H. (2007). Mustertheorie: Einführung und Perspektiven auf den Spuren von Christopher Alexander. Graz: Nausner & Nausner.
I'm also preparing a more specific textbook "Pattern Research" (working title) that should be published Jun-Sep 2015, way before the PLAST project can possibly start.
You can meet many pattern people, and me, at the PURPLSOC 2015 conference, in Krems, Austria; July 3-5 2015. http://purplsoc.org . PURPLSOC is short for "PURsuit of Pattern Languages for SOcietal Change".
